Simplyhealth FAQ
Can I use Simplyhealth with an NHS dentist?
Yes. Unlike Denplan, Simplyhealth covers NHS dental treatment as well as private. You can claim back the cost of NHS treatment bands (£26.80, £73.50, or £284.70) up to your annual limit.
How do I claim on Simplyhealth?
You pay for your dental treatment upfront, then submit a claim online or via the Simplyhealth app. Cashback is paid within a few working days to your bank account.
Is there a waiting period with Simplyhealth?
No. Unlike some insurance products, Simplyhealth has no waiting period. You can claim from day one of your policy.
How much can I claim back with Simplyhealth?
Annual claim limits vary by plan level. On the entry plan, dental cashback is typically around £100 to £125 per year. Higher plans offer more. Check the current plan details on Simplyhealth.co.uk for exact limits.
Does Simplyhealth cover cosmetic dentistry?
No. Simplyhealth does not cover cosmetic dental treatment such as teeth whitening, veneers, or cosmetic bonding.
Can I use Simplyhealth with Denplan?
Yes, in theory. Denplan covers treatment from your registered dentist; Simplyhealth reimburses costs. However, check both policies carefully to ensure there is no duplication of claims.
Is Simplyhealth the same as Denplan?
No. Simplyhealth owns Denplan but they are different products. Simplyhealth is a health cash plan — you pay upfront and claim back. Denplan is a capitation plan where your dentist provides treatment for a fixed monthly fee.
